Last One
This is the last 10th of any month Micah will ever be in prison.
Unbelievable and I am sure it will be the longest month in history!
Micah is so looking forward to seeing all of his friends and family in one more month.

Did you know that when private prison companies buy prisons from the state they base it on the number of prisoners? They are actually buying the prisoners. They look for the prisons with the youngest and healthiest prisoners so that they do not have to spend much for health care. More prisoners die at privately owned prisons than state owned ones.
When you think about the fact that these private companies are actually buying people and keeping them in cages it kind of puts a new slant on slavery.

8 MONTHS!!!!
So I have been looking forward and counting the days that I could write this post. Eight months and counting.
I really did not expect the time to go so darn sloooowwwww! I can imagine if it is going this slow for me it is crawling for Micah.
We spent most of Jan. and part of Feb. not being able to make phone calls. I sure missed hearing his voice and talking to him. Now he has leveled up and gets his full day of visits on Sat and Sun and unlimited phone calls. Cool!
Micah did receive a surprise visitor last Saturday. I had warned him to expect someone on Sat. so he was waiting. I know how painful it is for him to wait for his visits so I really encouraged his visitor to be on time. I just forgot to tell her he was at Eagle Point and not Barchey.
She had to go through all the bells and whistles to get into Barchey only to be told he had been moved many moons ago to Eagle Point. So she was about an hour late. When she asked him if he had given up on her he said that yes he was in fact freaking out.
Micah has a new job working in the kitchen. He starts work around four in the morning and works until the afternoon. I wish he was learning a valuable skill like they brag about their jobs creating, but learning to slop mess really does not count as a valuable job skill.
Now if they taught bar tending classes or construction jobs, since that seems to be all an ex con can get, they might be a little more on target.

Micah has a job interview next week. For, drum roll please, a call center job. The worst part? He will be getting paid the same as my son-in-law who works for a call center in Costa Rica!
Yeah, hell yes they are bringing jobs back to the states!

9 Months
I feel like a pregnant mom! In nine months from today my baby boy will be a free man after 4 years and three months in prison.
Wow talk about excited!!!
Micah has asked me to thank all of you that have purchased his awesome book. He feels honored that so many people have shown so much support for him.
We have been enjoying talking unlimited. Also since Micah has "leveled up" he has unlimited visit time on Sat and Sun as well as unlimited phone time. It is so nice to be able to re-connect with him and prepare for the big day.
